About the Event

This workshop, delivered by Mike Roberts, Senior Partner & Founder of Scott Roberts Negotiating, will provide an introductory session for those wishing to review, refresh, establish, and improve their knowledge, experience, and skills in negotiation.

During the session, Mike will cover key aspects of negotiation, including:

Where negotiating fits within our armoury of influencing skills.

Key Models / Concepts

The Process – An outline of the main phases of any negotiation together with the critical skills that one has to practise / master to achieve success and control.

Power Dynamics – What makes a negotiation possible. Can one negotiate everything? Why do some people refuse to negotiate? Where do negotiators derive their power?

The Costs of Negotiating vs Not Negotiating

The Bargaining Zone

There will be opportunity throughout the session for attendees to have their negotiation concerns and queries answered.

About Mike

Mike Roberts is one of the leading international Negotiating Coaches and Consultants with a wealth of high-level experience. He has worked with CEOs, Directors and senior management teams from across many and varied businesses and government sectors. He has trained and coached well over 8,000 senior staff.

Mike's experience comes from working at Board level for a world-class multi- site international business, and he is well known as an Industrial Relations Expert and Trouble Shooter.
