Heropreneurs Awards 2024: Celebrating innovation and leadership at the Shard

On Thursday, 14 November, the iconic Shard in London hosted the 2024 Heropreneurs Awards - an inspiring celebration of entrepreneurial excellence within the military community. The event brought together a vibrant mix of mentors, mentees, award finalists, and supporters, all united by a shared passion for entrepreneurship.

The afternoon began with early networking, setting the stage for a day of connection and collaboration. Mentors and mentees later split into dedicated workshops designed to foster growth and learning.

Leading the mentees’ workshop was Dr. Tim Hart, a distinguished lecturer from Warwick Business School, who guided participants through strategies for crafting impactful business plans, setting objectives, and asking the critical question: Why? This session provided mentees with a safe space to openly discuss their entrepreneurial challenges, reflect on progress, and share best practices for optimising efforts.

Meanwhile, Stuart Nicol facilitated an engaging session for mentors, focusing on the art of mentorship. This open forum allowed mentors to share their experiences, discuss challenges, and refine their skills, underscoring the collective commitment to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs.

As the evening unfolded, more guests arrived, mingling over a spread of delicious food and drinks. The highlight of the night was the much-anticipated awards ceremony, which celebrated remarkable achievements across four categories.
