We are delighted to announce that our Chairman, Peter Mountford, has been invited to sit on the newly-established Veterans’ Advisory Board. We are now calling for our community to get in touch with their thoughts – we are keen to hear your feedback and opinions on how life in the UK can be improved for veterans and their families, in order to make Peter’s time on the Board as productive and beneficial as possible for our community.
Launched by the Office for Veterans’ Affairs as it marks one year since starting its work programme, the Board consists of individuals with significant experience in supporting veterans and the wider military community. Those sitting on the Veterans’ Advisory Board will provide advice, challenge preconceptions, and bring diversity of thought to the government on veterans’ issues, including supporting the delivery of their Strategy for Our Veterans.

“I am delighted to have been invited to sit on the new Veterans’ Advisory Board. As the Chairman of both Heropreneurs and the Veterans’ Foundation, I am committed to supporting veterans and their families in a number of capacities. The launch of the Veterans’ Advisory Board presents an exciting opportunity to open dialogue on veterans’ issues on a wider scale than seen before. I am very much looking forward to working alongside the other members of the Board to build on the excellent work that has already been done by the Office for Veterans’ Affairs to improve services and support for veterans and their families.”
This is an important opportunity to build on the ongoing work to support veterans and the wider military family, and we would like to encourage the Heropreneurs’ community to reach out to us with your opinions and issues for address. This is a service set-up to improve opportunities, prospects, and welfare of military veterans and their families, and your input, as the community who should benefit, is absolutely key. You can get in touch via email – esme@heropreneurs.co.uk.
