The Heropreneurs Awards Judging Panel

We are delighted to share with you that the Chairman of Judges for our 2022 Awards will be Alistair Halliday, CEO of the RFEA Forces Employment Charity.

It’s important that each category is judged by a panel made up of knowledgeable and valued members of our network who can recognise success and the all-important entrepreneurial flair that makes the individuals and businesses we support unique.

The judging panels will be made up of members of our Board of Trustees, current mentors, MOD representatives, and other sponsors to debate and select a shortlist and winner for each category.

JUDGING PROCESS

  • Members of the Heropreneurs Team review the award criteria for each nomination and check that all information has been completed.

  • Each panel member receives a judge's pack, which includes nominations for their category as well as scoresheets. Entries are scored independently to allow for individual evaluation and scoring without the influence of other judges.

  • CEO Becci Parriss compiles scores to help guide conversations on the judging day. There is no prior knowledge or information shared from the category judges' scores.

  • On July 20th, all entries are evaluated in person by an Independent Judging Panel. Prior to the judging day, all judges are asked if they have any conflicts of interest with any of the nominees.

  • Three finalists (including the winner) are identified for each category.

Finalists will be announced the last week in July.

OUR THANKS

These awards would simply not be possible without the fantastic network of support that we are so grateful to receive.

First and foremost, we want to thank our judges, who have a difficult task ahead of them given the volume of applications we received. Thank you for your time and assistance with these awards.

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors; it is an honour to work with them to provide these opportunities to our military community.
