Heropreneurs has received a generous grant of £30,000 from the Veterans’ Foundation, marking a second year of their support for Heropreneurs.
The grant will aid us in our work to support entrepreneurs from the military community in their business endeavours, enabling us to enhance our capacity in 2021, including taking on a new member of the team, and the continued development of our events programme. We are really excited to share more about the developments that we will undertake in 2021, using the funding from the Veterans’ Foundation. We will be announcing more in January, so keep an eye on our website and social media channels for our next big update!
The Veterans’ Foundation award grants to charities that support military veterans and their families in a variety of different ways. Its founder, Major General David Shaw, has previously said:
“The Veterans’ Foundation supports serving and former members of the armed forces, operationally qualified seafarers and their dependants, who are in need. We have paid out nearly £4M to over 250 organisations since inception in 2016 and we hope to provide £2M in grants in the next 12 months, although this is perhaps optimistic in the face of the pandemic. We are delighted to support Heropreneurs with a Veterans’ Foundation grant and applaud their work to help veterans establish their own businesses and to gain employment.”
